Christ Visits Them Often

Philip Stevenson - Facebook Post May 27th 2026

I very much believe the LDS scriptures which are all in agreement. I do not believe the current LDS teachings which dramaticly conflict with the scriptures on nearly every topic. My last post showed several examples. Here is another well documented example that can't be explained or understood by the current LDS theology.
The Church teaches that God the Father is a man and it trys to tell us WHO we worship.
The Lord in D&C tells us God is not a man and tries to explain WHAT we worship. The Lord also tells us in the D&C that we have all seen God already. He explains that we don't comprehend God, so we don't realize that we have seen Him. Then, He promises that when we finally comprehend God, we will know that we have already seen Him and that He is in us and we are in Him. These statements all match up perfectly with what is taught in the Old Testament, New Testamant, and the Book of Mormon. Here are a few of the many, many references:
D&C 93
19 I give unto you these sayings that you may understand and know how to worship, and know WHAT you worship, that you may come unto the Father in my name, and in due time receive of his fulness.
D&C 88
45 The earth rolls upon her wings, and the sun giveth his light by day, and the moon giveth her light by night, and the stars also give their light, as they roll upon their wings in their glory, in the midst of the power of God.
46 Unto what shall I liken these kingdoms, that ye may understand?
47 Behold, all these are kingdoms, and any man who hath seen any or the least of these hath seen God moving in his majesty and power.
48 I say unto you, he hath seen him; nevertheless, he who came unto his own was not comprehended.
49 The light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not; nevertheless, the day shall come when you shall comprehend even God, being quickened in him and by him.
50 Then shall ye know that ye have seen me, that I am, and that I am the true light that is in you, and that you are in me; otherwise ye could not abound.
In the above, the Lord tells us that if we have seen the earth, sun, moon or stars, we have seen God. This is because God is not a man that exists in one place on the earth or on the moon. God existed everywhere in and through all things, filling the immensity of space.
D&C 63
59 Behold, I am from above, and my power lieth beneath. I am over all, and in all, and through all, and search all things, and the day cometh that all things shall be subject unto me.
D&C 88
6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;
7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;
10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.
11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;
41 He comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him, and all things are round about him; and he is above all things, and in all things, and is through all things, and is round about all things; and all things are by him, and of him, even God, forever and ever.
Jeremiah 23
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD (Jehovah). Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD (Jehovah).
Alma 18
24 And Ammon began to speak unto him with boldness, and said unto him (King Lamoni): Believest thou that there is a God?
25 And he answered, and said unto him: I do not know what that meaneth.
26 And then Ammon said: Believest thou that there is a Great Spirit?
27 And he said, Yea.
28 And Ammon said: This is God. And Ammon said unto him again: Believest thou that this Great Spirit, who is God, created all things which are in heaven and in the earth?
Alma 22
9 And the king said: Is God that Great Spirit that brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem?
10 And Aaron said unto him: Yea, he is that Great Spirit, and he created all things both in heaven and in earth. Believest thou this?
11 And he said: Yea, I believe that the Great Spirit created all things, and I desire that ye should tell me concerning all these things, and I will believe thy words.
1 Kings 8
27 But will God, (Elohim), indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
Psalm 139
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Job 11
7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
Acts 17
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
In D&C 88, I showed that God said we have all seen Him already because we have seen the earth, sun, moon and stars, and we don't realize we have seen God because we don't comprehend God. The scriptures explain this by repeatedly teaching that ALL THINGS are made OF God. If I say a table is made of wood, then you understand what I am saying. But when the scriptures say ALL things are made OF God, you do not understand because you are taught that God is a man. But, all things are made of God which is why God is in and through all things including the earth, sun, moon and stars.
D&C 93
10 The worlds were made by him; men were made by him; all things were made by him, and through him, and of him.
D&C 76
24 That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.
1 Corinthians 8
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
D&C 88
41 He comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him, and all things are round about him; and he is above all things, and in all things, and is through all things, and is round about all things; and all things are by him, and of him, even God, forever and ever.
Romans 11
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever
2 Corinthians 5
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ , and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
When speaking to Moses, God Calls Himself “I Am That I Am”
Exodus 3
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
The phrase “I AM THAT I AM” is translated from the Hebrew words, "hāyâ 'ăšer hāyâ". These were God’s own words used to describe Himself. Here are the definitions of these words.
hāyâ = To be, to exist, be in existence
'ăšer = all that, that which
hāyâ = To be, to exist, be in existence
Thus, God was literally declaring:
I Am all that Exists
I Am that which Is
Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 43 (Apocrypha)
27 We could say more but could never say enough; let the final word be: 'He is the all.'
The Secret Book of John (The Gnostic Texts)
It is not appropriate to think of the Father in terms of...place. For the Father is the one who encompasses all things while nothing encompasses the Father... The Father exists within them all and outside them all.
I was only able to understand the scriptures because I had a vision of what God is. I saw that God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of creation. I share my vision and use the scriptures to explain it while addressing Joseph Smith's vision which is the source of the LDS teaching that God is a man.
