But they can also be pernicious and dangerous if they influence our beliefs about doctrines and principles that have eternal consequences. Many of the following myths, when accepted, achieve the condition of "carnal security" that we have been warned against by Nephi (2 Ne. 28:21). Nephi describes the effect, "the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell." Group 1 by Adrian Larsen:"Today's youth were generals in the war in heaven." Joseph described people living on the moon.
